I used to maintain that blogs were written by experts and ought to have a theme, that general musings belonged on a journal or in email.
I changed my mind. I see people spouting all kinds of things into the digital ether and it’s interesting. I want to be a part of it. I used to be part of active communities on social media before the term social media was coined. They withered in the face of Twitter and Facebook and long-form online communication has become something of a dying art.
I still have things to say, though, and some of them might be worth attention. I’m torn between being certain I can craft words better than some of them, and terrified that the world might overhear me, and offer harsh critique.
I have a themed and on-topic blog about Thamesmead. This is more … freeform. I don’t know what I’ll write, but I will try to write. I hope somebody will read.
My name is Max. I don’t feel I’ve quite done the growing up thing yet. I get to do a reasonably creative job in web development and I play games in my spare time. I want to be better at photography and writing and I have an ever ongoing half hearted attempt to learn German in progress.
This is my life and it’s ending one minute at a time.
